Joseph Michael

Mr. Michael is the Chief Information Officer for San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA).  He is responsible for managing all aspects of SBCERA’s in-house information technology functions, including network services, business applications, communications support services, and project information services.

Prior to joining the County of San Bernardino in 2000, Mr. Michael was the Southwest Regional Supervisor for Interact Systems, where he was responsible for supervising 300 Point of Sale systems and networks across four states.

Mr. Michael has received various technology certifications throughout his career, including Microsoft Certified Professional, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He has also completed training in Project Management, as well as the CALAPRS Management/Supervisory Academy.

Mr. Michael received a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University, Utah, and a Masters of Business Administration from Western Governors University, Utah.
