Meet Debby Cherney, Chief Executive Officer at SBCERA.

Through Debby’s career, she’s been passionate about growing successful teams centered on purpose and the important role public service has in our communities. Guided by her leadership and vision, SBCERA has reached new heights and remains committed to the service our members are counting on.

“I’m surrounded by incredible people here at SBCERA and I feel really, really lucky to be at the helm of this organization. I’m proud of the work we’ve done during my tenure here, and we have so much yet to come,” Debby said.

Reflecting on SBCERA’s mission, she shares, “We want to make sure that we’re able to provide people with the right kind of information to enable them to make great choices about planning for retirement, getting to retirement, and having a terrific time in retirement.”
