New Self-Service Options in mySBCERA for Retirees
We’re excited to share some important updates that have been made to mySBCERA, your online member portal that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, using your computer, phone, or tablet.
New Self-Service Options in mySBCERA
Retirees and beneficiaries now have the option to update tax withholding elections and direct deposit information in their online account. This new functionality is only available to members who are already receiving monthly benefits.
Update your Tax Witholding ELECTIONs
‘Tax Withholding’ is a feature that allows you to change federal or state tax withholdings in mySBCERA. Before any changes are made or saved, you will get a pop-up which shows you the effect that change would have on your monthly benefit. Then you can decide whether to proceed or go back and re-calculate.
Update direct deposit information
‘Direct Deposit’ is a feature that gives you the ability to change direct deposit information for both primary and secondary accounts in mySBCERA.
Note: New retirees will NOT have access to these features until after they have received their first benefit payment.
Follow the instructions on the Quick Reference Guide to learn how to update your tax withholding elections and direct deposit information.
