Meet Cheryl Balz, the City Clerk at the City of Chino Hills.

With a deep-rooted work ethic instilled by her father, Cheryl built a career dedicated to public service. She began as a Deputy City Clerk in Riverside in 2001, seeking stability for her family, and over the years, earned both her Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk designations.

“I love my team and the work we do to serve our community,” Cheryl said. “Advocating for others and ensuring transparency in government is something I take great pride in.”

Reflecting on her SBCERA pension, she shares, “It gives me peace of mind knowing that my retirement is secure. I won’t have to worry about how I’ll get by. I can fully embrace this next chapter, traveling and chasing waterfalls with my husband.”
