Board of Retirement Notice of Election

Three seats on the SBCERA Board of Retirement will be open for election later this year. Candidacy information will be available August 15, 2022, and the candidate filing period ends on September 9, 2022.
Notice is hereby given that on December 6, 2022, an election will be held for the San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA) to elect members to the Board of Retirement. In this election, the following officers will be elected:
- General Member Trustee: One General member to be elected to the SBCERA Board of Retirement by Active and Deferred General Members of the Retirement Association. The term of office shall be a full term of three years and shall commence January 1, 2023.
- Retired Member Trustee: One Retired Member to be elected by Retired Members of the Retirement Association. The term of office shall be a full term of three years and shall commence January 1, 2023.
- Alternate Retired Member Trustee: One Alternate Retired Member to be elected by Retired Members of the Retirement Association. The term of office shall be a full term of three years and shall commence January 1, 2023.
All Board of Retirement elections are conducted by the Registrar of Voters (ROV) under the Mail Ballot procedure and in accordance with the Uniform District Election Law (UDEL). Candidate filings will be accepted at the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, 777 E. Rialto Avenue, San Bernardino, CA, from August 15, 2022, until 5:00 p.m. on September 9, 2022.
